| Despite overseeing the worst economic crisis in United States history, sending troops to fulfill a misguided mission after Nine Eleven, and choking on a pretzel, I praise President Bush for his amazing superhuman reflexes. He dodged two shoes before the secret service could flinch and joked that it was a size 10. Apparently the news reported that in Islamic culture, shoe throwing is a sign of disrespect. Come on. In what culture, is getting hit by a shoe not a sign of disrespect? If you did not realize how unpopular George Bush is at the moment, consider that people in America were not outraged by this incident. Do you think that if Kennedy, FDR, Reagan, or even Obama was hit with a shoe by a foreigner, that we would consider retaliation in massive American fashion? Instead, Mr. Iraqi shoe-thrower, we salute you. You did something that people around the world (as well as in America) wanted to do for the past 7 years.
Okay, on to real news. This is a content-filled post! The new Nike commercial featuring the Zoom Kobe IV just came out through the web. However, what got me looking was the pair of kicks that DJ AM was rocking. It appears to be the nicest colorway of Kanye's Air Yeezys that I have ever seen. Oh how I love high-tops, especially Nike ones. I am glad that DJ AM is okay after his near-fatal plane crash. He is apparently suing the charter company for the plane crash that killed several onboard.
Speaking of Kanye, there has been speculation that he did a poor performance lip-syncing on his appearance on the year finale of Saturday Night Live. I did not have a problem with that, but I did have one with his new CD, mostly because of the excess autotuner. How innovative is it when T-Pain already wore it out since his debut?
Because I have MBC America on my television now, I have been watching a lot of Korean dramas. A lot. But I am not really complaining. Right now I am researching art schools to attend. Hopefully, it will be a good one. The economy is pretty bad right now. So much so, that Toyota is reporting their first loss in 60 years. Also, BAPE is having a sale, and they never do. Seriously, kids that buy $80 tee-shirts and $300 backpacks are few and far between now. They rather hit up a sale than stand in line for something unless they are Air Jordans. Somehow, I believe that all the hype and overspending has finally bursted, and people are trying to revert back to practical consumers for the time being. If retailers overcharge, they go elsewhere. Simple as that.

Anyways, if anyone in Korea could send me a copy of this Maxim with Kim Shi-hyang on the cover, I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, I receive my Gundam fortune figures from eBay release when I was a young teenager. I will post pictures later I guess. Until then, Happy Holidays!

| We witnessed history last night. However, it is not only because we elected an African-American as our President. For the first time in my life, I saw people go out of their way to cast a ballot. For the first time, people cheered, chanted, and cried from happiness for an election victory. And for the first time, everyone in my family voted. For them, it was the first time they have ever voted in their 20-plus years here as American citizens. This was the first time I was ever passionate about a candidate, excited for a change, waiting eagerly for history to happen.
As an Asian-American who was born in this country, I am well aware of the civil rights movement of not only Blacks but also the struggles of the Asians in America before my birth. We were rejected from entry to this country. As Ellis Island welcomed those to the American dream in the east coast, Angel Island stood as the holding cell for Asians rejected from entry to the Land of Opportunity. A few decades later, Japanese-American had their homes taken away as the government put them in internment camps. Manzanar is a testament that America was not always fair to the Model Minority.
As Obama captured the American presidency, everyone was in disbelief and jubilation within the Edison bar in Downtown Los Angeles. We witnessed victory. Finally, there was no voting controversy. There was a decisive victory. One major barrier broken. One victory for Obama, millions of victories for youths and minorities in America. Billions around the world shared our happiness. For the Bush era is almost over... Thank God! God Bless Barack Obama! God Bless America! | | |
| It has been a month since my last post, and I have finished Women in the Sun and Merry and Daegu. So I am on to my new drama, Matchmaker's Lover (연애결혼). My title refers to the matchmaking agency the main character works at, Last Love (마지막 사랑).
Despite not being at the place I wish to be at, I am in high spirits. My only problem is financial. However, I have not been this happy for quite a while. At the moment, I am worrying about getting a job and hoping that my voter registration is not lost in the mail.
The big thing in the news is the presidential election. So I am sure a lot people have seen appearances of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin in SNL. The sad part is that a lot of her dialogue is real statements of Sarah Palin. What I think is that Tina Fey should be the vice-presidential candidate. I mean she has a lot of experience in comedy writing and she has a Emmy for her role in 30 Rock. So why not nominate her? She is not governor of Alaska, but I respect her more than I do Palin.
I am now the proud subscriber to Mad Magazine. I am eagerly awaiting my first issue.
Finally, I was trying to teach my sister how to play Deal or No Deal at Dave and Buster's. Apparently, she has never heard of the show or concept. Well, nothing more to add on here. If you want more blogging check my Facebook site.

| Women of the Sun (태양의 여자) is reaching its finale. Sawol (사월) is getting more cruel in her revenge scheme against the sister who abandoned her at Seoul Station twenty years ago. Despite her past sins and attempts to keep Sawol away from their parents, Doyoung (도영) is not the cruel beast that her sister now thinks of her to be. She slowly crumbles from her sparkling and perfect image, revealing someone who is paranoid, fragile, and emotionally frail due
to her love-starved past caused by the coldness of her adoptive mother
and career-driven fiance. Such an interesting drama. Currently, I started watching another drama that stars Lee Hana (이하나) called Merry and Daegu's Attack and Defense Battle (메리 대구 공방전). It is absolutely ridiculous, but I feel emotionally attached to the character. Meri is in her late twenties without a real career, boyfriend, or money with a dream to become a performer in a popular musical. Meanwhile, Daegu is a aspiring novel writer who is dumped by his girlfriend for being dirt poor. Both of them are social pariahs because they are in their twenties without planned futures. In another few years, I will be just like them. I still want my happy ending, though.
While browsing the crackers and cookies section in Nijiya Market, I saw F-Cup cookies. I kid you not. Yes it is filled with herbs that will make your breast grow, well hopefully, to a F-cup. It is available in chocolate and vanilla. Seriously, I wonder how it tastes. I guess it if I try one, there should not be any ill-effects. I like my chest the way they are at the moment.

Finally, I might write a novel. Being awake most of last night, I came up with several interesting ideas. I am sorry, I cannot get my mind off the boob cookies.
